The main runway at Feilding 10/28 is 1000m in length and 14 meters wide, some fliers might find this a bit narrow. The runway can be accessed from either end via a cattle stop. There is also a large grass area to the south of the main runway which can be used for takeoff and landing. It can get boggy in winter and is also occupied by sheep all year round so caution is advised when using the grass.

Shown below are images of the final approaches on seal for 'one zero' and 'two eight', also shown is the overhead rejoin at 1500ft.

Home to almost 90 registered aircraft - microlights, homebuilts, gyrocopters, general aviation aircraft, gliders and warbirds.

Training: Two RAANZ-affiliated microlight clubs operate from Feilding Aerodrome. The Manawatu Microlight Club Inc and the Middle Districts Sports Aviation Club. There also is a general aviation training school and gliding instruction based on the aerodrome.

Hangerage: Some hangarage is available from some hangar owners - price by negotiation.

Landing fees: Currently none, even though this is one of the busiest and though Feilding Aerodrome is the focus of one of the most interesting recreational flying environments in NZ.

Refreshments: Coffee/tea/soft drink and hangar-chat available to any visitors most Sundays - even if weather is bad - at the MMC Inc Clubrooms, just inside the main entrance to the aerodrome. If you are flying in the clubrooms are on the southern side of the aerodrome, adjacent to the main car park.

Clean, modern toilet block for men and women is behind the car park.
