With clubrooms, a
hangar and three training aircraft, about 40 flying members, three voluntary
instructors, RAANZ-affiliation, an on-going flying and friendly social
programme, including regular monthly lunchtime barbecues, it has become the
club of choice for many microlight trainees in the lower half of the North
Island as well as a visiting point for microlight cross country travellers,
homebuilt builders and fliers. |

Members have racked up
an enviable safety record over the years with its instructors having together
as much instructional experience as any instructors operating in the NZ
microlight scene. |
|
|
|
Instruction is from ab
initio to advanced and is available every Sunday weather permitting or at
other times by arrangement with an instructor or the CFI. |
|
|
|
Involved in community
activities the club has become known over the years for its free
demonstration flights at Manawatu community functions as well as giving trial
flights to aviation related organisations (eg ATC, Aviation Scouts) and free
microlight passenger experience programmes to community programmes such as
Canteen and CCS among others. |

Instruction: Sundays, weather permitting. Phone clubroom to check weather and
operations if coming from a distance. |
